Description

The pedestrian signal phase has changed here recently. The are two one-way roads at this intersection (Grove Street and Church becoming Whitney). At every green light phase for motor vehicles travelling on one of those two one-way roads there is one
crosswalk where pedestrians can cross safely. The pedestrian signal used to reflect that. Now it's got a red pedestrian signal even when it's ok for pedestrians to cross the road. (Clarifying example: when cars have the green light heading northwest on Grove Street it's safe for pedestrians to cross Church Street on the southwest side of this intersection as drivers cannot make a left onto a one-way Church Street. It used to show the green "ok to walk" pedestrian signal during these cycles but it is now red .)
