Well, since no one wants to pay higher fares for extra security after dark, I guess the only way to keep the STC staff safe during the evening is to lock them in.

I believe the doors to the Prince Albert Police Stationare also locked at night.

Although this is very sad that this is what P.A. is comming too, we can also look forward to more and more "public" places putting in extra security measures, all thanks to the low lifes who want to ruin this city.

I beleive the washrooms at the bus depot were the only public (non business) washrooms available after 5:00 pm in the entire
downtown area. Not having access to even those anymore, explains people urinating in the back lanes, etc. (I even saw a taxi
driver doing this). As for needles in the bathroom, It's the office right next to the bus depot where the Health District hands out
needles , so surely picking up the odd one in the bus depot washroom is no reason to
lock the doors. I never saw any there anytime I used thieir washroom, or I would have simply reported to them.

Actually, it is most likely not the customers doing it. Its the people wandering the streets aimlessly most likely doing the activity. Plus it would make for an unsafe working environment for them too

@ Superdave. I am not sure why the police station would be open at night, weekends etc. The front office is open 8 to 4 Mon to Fri. Why would any business or organization have their doors open even when they are closed?

the security is there to observe and report and they are not given anything for protection for your information the bathrooms are not locked anymore and if a lowlife decides to flush a needle down the toilet it costs money to phone a plumber to come and take the needle out ever think of that also the security keep the customers and staff safe and secure

There is a lot of lowlife people around the bus depot sstand there for a day and you will see what i mean.

washrooms are locked...and the outside doors are locked at a certain time to increase staff safety. considering that there was a stabbing of an employee not all that long ago and continued disturbances in the bus depot and drug abuse in the bathroom, it's probably best for everyone to up the security - if you don't like it you take the risk of picking up a needle or 2...it's not exactly a high foot-traffic area - what are you doing there that you need a 'public' bathroom...if you're a patron ask a worker for the key...if not, why are you there? it's a place of business, with established hours.
