I am not writing to report a problem. Rather, I am writing to report that we have NEVER had a problem with our trash and recycling service and we have lived in RVA for over 11 years, in three different neighborhoods, in the East End and on the Southside. I was reflecting on this recently, and wanted to express thanks to the trash and recycling guys for being amazing. They strive to fit us in during holiday weeks, pick up trash in all kinds of weather (steaming hot and cold rain) and are always polite. They return our trash cans to the place where we left them, and we very rarely find trash on the ground after they come through. So please thank them on our behalf for their exceptional professionalism and commitment to making the quality of life here in Richmond awesome. Trash service is the kind of essential service we tend to take for granted, until it goes awry.
