I've told police directly that there is a motorcycle gang that has taken over Greenwich Ave. They said they'd "look into it".

This stuff needs to be nipped in the bud as soon as it starts, just like other illegal activity should be. This town is not the wid west, not anymore. Lets all call the Nhpd to report this activity every single time, along with IDs, car license plate nos and addresses of where these bikes are stored.

"addresses of where these bikes are stored" is the most important bit of information needed. The police announced that they have a "no-chase" policy because they're afraid of being sued if there's an accident. So this has been an open invitation for the illegal bike owners to take over the streets. However, police ARE increasingly aggressive about seizing the bikes IF people let them know where they are being kept. A few of them are legally-registered motorcycles--but the owners flout the law by speeding and undoing manufacturer's noise controls so they can be as obnoxious as possible. (Apparently they suffer from a testosterone deficiency so need to come up with an alternate way to confirm their "manliness". Reality: it's more like delayed adolescence.) So we also need the plate numbers of these vehicles. If you don't want to call the police, post the info here anonymously and I'll make sure it gets forwarded to the police.
