There's a nasty bump/hole in the bike path that likes to take out people on road bikes here. Someone spray painted warnings on the ground that say "bump ahead", but it really just needs to be fixed.

A neighbor reported that a Fairmount Park crew recently finally repaired the damaged paving at the spring/waterfall closer to the Montgomery County line. That problem had narrowed the path to about two feet wide at the spring for the last several years.
If that's true, the Fairmount Park crew drove right over the bumps in the path. And doesn't the Bike Coalition have a rep on the new Parks & Rec/Fairmount Parks board? And isn't she aware of this dangerous situation?

As of March 6, 2010, the bumps are still there.
Real impressive job by Philly 311, the Streets Dept., Councilman Jones, Philly Parks/Rec/Fairmount Parks, and even the Bike Coalition.
THANKS FOR NOTHING.
