  The crew at this site is placing signs illegally in alameda that obstruct the bike lane. Your response is this is an Alameda problem?

  The crew in Jingletown created the hazard on Fernside. There is a large construction project in Jingletown by the Fruitvale bridge. This crew is placing obstacles in the bike lanes on Fernside across the Fruitvale bridge to direct traffic over to High St and back to Home Depot. The responsible people are in Jingletown. But you say it’s an Alameda problem because the photo and obstacles are in Alameda. So it’s OK for the Oakland work crew to throw out obstacles to traffic as long as they do so in Alameda? Oakland cannot simply direct their road construction crews to stop blocking bicycle traffic lanes, even if they do so across the street in Alameda?

  That is PG&E replacing 80 year old gas lines. Required after they blew up San Bruno Mountain.

  Thank you. Do you have a contact at PG&E for that job site who will properly instruct the crew on how to place Detour signs so they don’t block bicycle traffic? I would be happy to send the photo and request myself.
