I can't beieve the Decatur Public Works Department employees don't see all the road and sidewalk issues in our city.
The citizens of Decatur shouldn't have do their. It seems they don't do much until a citizen reports an issue.
All they have to do is drive around to see all the holes,poor patches and big drops in our roads. Exsamples, Adair St., W Ponce DeLeon all throgh town. Or walk around the city to see raised and broken sidewalks.
I have never seen any complete resurfacing of any of our roads. But drive around Tucker,Clarkston and Scottdale and you'll see plenty of major road work.
The City,investors and county are all reaping the benefits of developments and the citizens are being left with HIGH PROPERTY TAXES and BROKEN AND DECAYING ROADS and SIDEWALKS.
Can anyone please explain why the citizens of Decatur are being treated this way?

Hello. This was first reported in 2016. On 11/29/2018 you said that it was 90 days out. Now it's May, 2019. The curb is broken in the middle of the block - east side of the street. I can't landscape because the soil is eroding into the street and any work I do will be undone.

Hello, It's June. S. Smith, when is this curb slated to be repaired? It's a three-year-old request now. It's a tripping hazard. Someone is going to get hurt.

Large branch hanging low on Adair St. near W Howard and hitting vehicles driving through. Has there for several days.

Who is responsible for overseeing the re-surfacing of our streets in the City of Decatur?

Is there a website the citizens of Decatur can view a list of scheduled raod and sidewalk work?

Curbs broken in front of 123 Drexel Ave, white fence, brown wall. Soil continues to erode into the street. The curbs are broken all up and down the 100 block of drexel.

Should we learn to fix the curbs ourselves? I don't want to get a citation though.

@Diane Loupe, I actually opened a ticket in 2016 but I couldn't find it. It's four years old.

There’s still a one foot section without a curb. I asked about it when they fixed the other part but they said I’d need to talk to the supervisor however it was the same curb at the same address.
