Hello there, thank you for your patience, currently tires are not currently being accepted at Sanitation garages during Covid-19, but tire rims without tires (not considered hazardous waste) can be set out for collection with regular metal recycling.
The City of New York considers tires hazardous waste and they must be disposed of separately. DSNYstates that the tire collection program may resume in June 2021.
